The lightweight of the briefcase has been made possible by using Polycarbonate, which is a Jet-fighter construction material, and the details are made of Polyacetal that ensures extra durability.

“The Good Design Award” received in 1986 and “the Good Design Long Life Design Award” received in 2011 serve as a testament to Portafile's Japanese design and quality.

The Portafile features two open inside pockets, two penholders and two full lengths zip pockets on each side of the briefcase to make organizing things easier. The Portafile has got both a carrying handle and a shoulder strap for comfortable transportation.
